What is a Christian Ashram
Created for accountability, fellowship, and discipleship, it was brought to North America in 1940. The Christian Ashram, whether in the one day, weekend, or weeklong format, continues as an effective way to authentically connect with one another and with Jesus Christ in the 21st Century, as the kingdom of God in the miniature on earth.
How did the Christian Ashrams begin
The Christian Ashram was founded in 1930 by Dr. E. Stanley Jones, missionary to India. Dr. Jones, world famous missionary, evangelist, and author, established the Christian Ashram movement at Sat Tal, India, where he took the ancient ashram format and gave it Christian content, grounding the program in Jesus Christ. At the time of his death there were 75 Christian Ashrams established in the United States, Canada, and around the world.

OPEN HEART HOUR
BIBLE HOUR
PRAYER GROUPS
A time where participants can open their hearts to the group, expressing needs and sharing blessings. This time lays the groundwork for the closeness and bonding of our time together.
A time for in-depth Bible study, led by Debbie Greenleaf. These talks will be held live and in Zoom, followed by time for discussion.
Zoom and in-person groups where participants reflect on what they have heard, share what they feel, encourage each other in faith, and pray for each other in love.
PRAYER VIGIL
HEALING SERVICE
EVANGELISTIC SERMONS
Times led by our Christian Ashram evangelist, Matt Henson, whose dynamic, bold, and relevant messages stir the soul and rekindle the fire of our faith. These sessions will be arranged in-person and in Zoom meetings and include discussion time.
Participants will sign up to be in prayer in a room set aside at the camp or in a quiet place in your home for half hour and one hour time slots starting at 8:00 pm on Friday evening and ending at 10:00 am on Sunday morning. Click on About for more information.
MORNING WATCH
A time for quiet discussion of a specific chapter or verses lead by our Evangelist, Matt Henson.
Both in-person and Zoom small group rooms will be set up where participants can spend time with spiritual leaders to share concerns and be prayed for.
OVERFLOWING HEART
On Sunday morning there will be a time for you to share how the Lord worked in your life this weekend. You may either post your response by clicking the link below or respond in-person or in our live Zoom meeting.
Youth Program
Our youth program is designed for high school and college age students but is also appropriate for more mature middle schoolers as well. Students will have opportunities to participate in daily devotionals, small group discussion, and community building activities. Teacher Aaron will help the youth explore questions like:
-
How can I become like Jesus?
-
How do I remain centered on Jesus?
-
How does God guide us?
-
How does God guide us through our failures?
-
And how do I grow through failure?
